Prayer

Prayer is, above all, a simple and intimate work.

The score begins with a feeling melody, in the form of a sigh, clothed with dense and melancholic sonorities. Bit by bit, this line endeavours and breaks through, until reaching a point of maximum expressivity. It is then that the music suddenly stops and relaxes, and the same melody from the beginning appears again, now changing the sighs of melancholy for sighs of hope.

Prayer is dedicated to the memory of my grandparents, in gratitude for so many teachings and for so many moments.

Prayer (Oración) es, ante todo, una obra sencilla e íntima.

La partitura comienza con una sentida melodía, en forma de suspiro, arropada por sonoridades densas y melancólicas. Poco a poco, esta línea se desarrolla y abre paso, hasta llegar a punto de máxima expresividad. Es entonces cuando la música súbita- mente se detiene y relaja, y la misma melodía del principio vuelve a aparecer, cam- biando ahora los suspiros de melancolía por suspiros de esperanza.

Prayer está dedicada a la memoria de mis abuelos, en agradecimiento por tantas en- señanzas y por tantos recuerdos.
