Orion, the Hunter

The night sky is—and has always been—a source of stories, legends, and inspiration, and the myth and constellation of Orion have fascinated me for as long as I can remember.

Orion, The Hunter is born of that admiration, but it goes beyond the myth: it is a work conceived as a musical journey through the firmament, a voyage guided by the energy of Orion’s Belt—the three aligned stars—which here become a powerful leitmotif. Through a vibrant and energetic language, the piece captures both the strength and mystique of the celestial hunter. At the same time, it pays homage to Gustav Holst and his suite The Planets, with a special nod to Jupiter, whose vitality and melodic drive served as inspiration.

A fresh, youthful, and challenging work, designed to motivate, surprise, and demand the best from each performer. It seeks not only to tell a story, but to make audiences and musicians travel, dream, and look up to the sky—with new ears.

El cielo nocturno es y ha sido una fuente de historias, leyendas e inspiración, y el mito y la constelación de Orión me han fascinado desde siempre.

Orion, The Hunter nace de esa admiración, pero va más allá del mito: es una obra concebida como un viaje musical entre el firmamento, una travesía guiada por la energía de su cinturón —las tres estrellas alineadas— que aquí se convierten en un poderoso leitmotiv. A través de un lenguaje vibrante y enérgico, la obra plasma tanto la fuerza como la mística del cazador celeste. Al mismo tiempo, rinde homenaje a Gustav Holst y su suite “Los Planetas”, con un guiño especial a Júpiter, cuya vitalidad e impulso melódico sirven de inspiración.

Una obra fresca, joven y desafiante, diseñada para motivar, sorprender y exigir lo mejor de cada intérprete. No solo busca contar una historia, sino hacer que el público y los músicos viajen, sueñen y miren hacia el cielo, allí arriba, con nuevos oídos.
